Amber DiplomatPortrayed by: Amy“Quote.”OVERVIEW: After Random's disappearance, Sarah was not certain if it would be easy for her to transfer to King Eric's service, and she has had to endure a demotion or two while she proves herself to her new liege, but she remains in the loop. She has even managed to get herself on the fleet in search of Random and Corwin, as a junior ambassador. She shed at least five accents on her way to the top, became different women and let those women go when they had taken her far enough. Her base nature remained good, however, even if her methods were direct to the point of callousness. She loved her family and despaired over leaving them and began to hate herself a little. Never finding a soul mate made her hate herself a little more. Now she is driven by the need to prove herself, to love herself, and to become a woman that is worth love and worth a high and easy place. After all, has she not fought hard enough for it?
ABOUTSarah's most striking attributes are her bright blue-green eyes, which coupled with her creamy complexion and long fire red waves, give the impression of sultry radiance which might seem untouchable if not for her pouty smile. Tall and buxom, all of her clothes fit her exactly right to emphasize whichever feature she feels will be most useful to each situation. She prefers to wear bright colors, light airy fabrics, and to forgo jewelry and makeup in favor of an easy natural grace. Sarah Tam has always wanted to be "somebody," but was never specific about who. Generally kind, considerate, even "sweet", she has a famous temper that extends past the breaking of objects into the breaking of jaws, vows and political alliances. In the grips of this terrible rage, Sarah seems unable to exercise her usual control, pragmatism and prudence. She is so terrified of losing herself in this way and all that she has fought for that she meditates in a special way every day to keep herself balanced. She claims she was taught this meditation by a Jedi. When she had the credits, she hopped aboard a trading (some say smuggling or fortunehunting) vessel. She didn't care where it was going particularly. She just needed another step up, better connections, and she knew she wasn't going to get them on Eain. She worked as part of their crew for a few years, making friends and enemies, then transferred to a different ship where she was a bounty hunter and used a different name. But this, too, could not get her as far as she wished, and the life was harsh and dangerous. She became a new person again, this time seeking contacts in the entertainment world. At first she did some acting, some dancing again, but she moved quickly to producing and casting and managing hot new rising stars. From the arts to politics was an easy skip and a jump, beginning in Kashfa but always seeking to get closer to Amber and the center of everything.
