The Republic Senate has announced that on this day that all charges of treason on Duchess Helena Shevala, Knight Aidan D'Eain and Ms. Cara Sylvain have been dropped. This comes after a lengthy debate within the Senate and recent information from various sources proving the innocence of the aforementioned traitors.
Supreme Chancellor Martin made a brief public statement in response, "I am pleased that the legal process set forth by the founders of the Republic have come to this just and right decision and hope that future events will learn from our experience here that evidence rather than suspicion should be our guiding hand in all decisions. I look forward to speaking with each party personally to help resolve any lingering issues. To begin the process, I am hereby making the bounties null and void for the named defendants and I am revoking the legal licenses and privileges of Bounty Hunters to operate in Republic territories thirty days from today.Thank you and may the Force be with you."
Senator Marcus Grakt commented, "This is a good day for the Republic and one we should remember. The Republic should not serve the personal desires of the few, but rather the needs of the many. There are some among us who demonstrate this through action and diplomacy. Do not let the detractors prevent you from sharing your voice. I will hear you and I will fight for the greater good of the Republic."
Senator Koresh was unavailable for comment.
