With Sierra

"Have you heard about the large flying object above Arden?" Lladd asks.

"To be honest no I have never heard of anything like that over Arden. I would like to accompany you if you will have me to check it out as I am familiar with Arden and the Rangers are familiar with me it might be safer if I accompanied you." Then she frowns and says, " I told Onyx and Gilian we would meet for tea later this afternoon but we never set a time. I suppose I could send them a note and ask them to make it a pre-dinner drink instead."

"Oh, I'm not going to Arden. I have a few things to do in town. Otherwise, I'd be ever grateful for your delightful company," he assures her, grinning. Then he inquires curiously, "Onyx? Is this someone new I haven't met yet?"

"Well, thanks for the thought." Sierra says with a smile before continuing, " Onyx is a new cousin. She was at breakfast this morning. She is evidently the daughter of Brand."

Meeting Onyx

You makes it out to the stables. The stable hand, the only one you can find, informs you that the King has put a hold on riding until further notice. And besides, the only horse left isn't worth riding anyway. She's old and slow.

"Old and slow? But she's faster than me walking, right?" Lladdwyr asks.

"It's possible," he muses. "She could be faster than you, but I'd be willing to bet on you, sir. Besides, The King said no riding till further notice. I can't let you take her." He gives you an apologetic smile.

Lladdwyr shrugs, then thanks the guy and heads out of the stable.

As you exit the stable, you hear the sound of a team of horses and a carriage around the corner. As you come into view of it, the carriage practically slides to a halt in front of the main entrance to the Castle. A doorman gets the door and Penelope all but flies out and up the steps to the main doors. She is through the door before you have a chance to call out to her.

Lladdwyr watches her fly off, a little taken aback, but then shakes it off and turns instead to the carriage driver. "I need to go into town," he says, making it a directive rather than a suggestion.

As you make to move toward the door, you notice another beautiful young woman has emerged from the carriage. She has auburn colored hair, eyes of pale blue. She is slim and muscular; you would guess a runner or dancer. She approaches you. "Excuse me... Hi. Do you happen to know where I can find Random?" she asks with her 'winning' smile.

Lladd gives her an enthusiastic answering smile, but shakes his regretfully. "Not right now, I'm afraid. Is there something wrong?" His smile fades a little, replaced by curiosity and concern.

Onyx replies, "Yeah...seems that way. We were just in town and found Bleys on the ground with arrows sticking out of his back. So I was appointed messenger."

"Where is Bleys?" he inquires, surprise now taking over his features. He looks searchingly over towards Arden, adding distractedly, "I'm Lladdwyr, by the way."

"I'm not sure, Flora trumped him somewhere. She wasn't very generous with the details. The infirmary I'm guessing. Too bad we couldn't meet under better circumstances. My name's Onyx."

With Vialle

Onyx gently takes Vialle's extended hand into hers.

Vialle frowns slightly and says, "Hmm. Interesting."

"Interesting?" Onyx asks.

Vialle looks up, or rather she lifts her head so her eyes are level with Onyx. "You didn't know you had the same parent, did you?" her expression is curious.
